Daren Johnson

Daren Johnson

Daren T. Johnson is a university professor, human resources professional, global immigration specialist, and an astute leader. Mr. Johnson's perceptiveness as an educator transcends all boundaries. For him, that path is endless – not only advancing education and human development in the United States but also in his home country, Jamaica, where his emphasis is on youth development, teacher education, human resources management, and volunteerism.

Daren's exceptional academic success belies his age. He achieved 9 CSEC subjects at Aabuthnott Gallimore High School. He then pursued his teacher education training at Moneague College, where he served as vice president of the student council and graduated as the top teaching practicum student. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Monroe College in New York, graduating top of his class with sum cum laude honors. While studying at Monroe College, he received a plethora of academic awards and was a permanent fixture on the President's list. Mr. Johnson went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management at Pace University in New York, where he graduated with high commendations. He also served as a graduate research and teaching assistant. He is currently a scholarship recipient at Northcentral University, where he is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Human Resources Management. Johnson is currently a college professor at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland.
